Exhibitions and museums

Large and interesting exhibitions are regularly organized in Brussels, in addition to the permanent expositions. Not only the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium, the Jubileum Museum (Musées royaux d’Art et d’Histoire) et le Belgian Comic Strip Center but also typical places of interest are waiting for your visit on the list of musea in Brussels

The Museum van Buuren to the name of those « Art Déco » collectionneurs who left their heritage to a museum

the Musée des Beaux-Arts d’Ixelles, for its XXth century paintings collections
the Royal Institute of Natural Sciences the Royal Museum for Central Africa in Tervuren
the Museum Horta (« Art Nouveau ») to the name of this world-known Belgian architect.
the Museum BelVue for the souvenirs of our Belgian royal family.

Under the Place Royale, you will also enjoy visiting the Coudenberg and the former palace of Charles-Quint with its impressive foundations of the XVth century.

We highly suggest a visit in a unique house of the Grand’Place at the number 10. The Brewers House traces its origins to the XVth century and has always been occupied by the brewers corporation that became in the meantime the Belgian Brewers, federation still promoting today the merits of the Belgian beer. Have a look in the Musée de la bière of the house and enjoy a drink to the health of Patricia, your guest lady who spent years of her professional life in this building. You will be served a real Belgian beer that… you will be invited to recognize…

BruExpo, the exhibition park of Brussels build in 1958, can be reached in 35 minutes with the metro and 20 minutes by car.
